So yeah, short and sweet: After the big split of #meme-channel-name-of-the-day to #games, #food, #nature, #meems, and #pets, Movies and TV discussion pretty much got left with #Offtopic-general as it's primary discussion space. I feel it's a common enough topic with active enough engagement that a #Movies-and-TV channel should be added too.

Discussion

Support, obviously - Clue Scrolls | Tumeken (talk) 17:40, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

Support removing all wiki channels and replacing the entire server with #games, #memes, #food, #nature, #pets, #tv, #politics, #movies, #youtube, #twitch, #music, #work, #lifestyle, #homedecor, #coronavirus, #nsfw, #developers, #builders, #accountants, #electricians, #homeless, etc Template:Signatures/JaydenKieran 17:50, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

May I request the addition of #redditors-that-know-how-to-exit-vim-whose-dads-work-at-the-london-underground-and-whose-moms-deliver-mail-in-a-small-village-in-northern-wales to this list? InvalidCards (talk) 17:57, 22 May 2021 (UTC)
Incase this wasn't obvious, Oppose Template:Signatures/JaydenKieran 18:34, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

I jest, of course. Support as it seems a sensible topic to separate from the rest. InvalidCards (talk) 18:13, 22 May 2021 (UTC)

Oppose - #Pets and #Nature already have a fair amount of overlap, and I don't see much reason to split futher. Discussing media in a general off topic chat seems fine, seeing as the gloop challenges only come up every monnth or three, if I'm supposed to do them. And whilst media does get discussed otherwise, doesn't seem frequent enough to add yet more to the off topic channels. There is already enough bitching about people not discussing things in the right channel, rather than accepting that people like to continue on conversations organically as they arise. Oppose off-topic feels sufficient. Christine 18:54, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

Closed - there isn't consensus to add a movies channel. IsobelJ (talk) 19:15, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
