Forum:Forking other Jagex-related wikis?
Are there any plans to eventually fork other Jagex-related wikis from Fandom? The following wikis come to mind:

Discussion[edit source]
Forked wikis need to be driven by the community that maintains the original wiki. I don't think it makes sense to a) preempt forking discussions of wikis we're not involved in, or b) limit ourselves to a specific group of wikis. cqm talk 19:18, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
To echo cqm above, forks are something initiated by the wiki community that would be forking rather than by an outside group. While I'm certainly no supporter of Fandom, a wiki should make a decision to leave their host organically rather than because they've been approached by some other potential host. As such, I don't really see a reason to discuss the idea of any other wikis' possible forks unless it's something they're already discussing themselves, at a bare minimum. For what it’s worth, as far as the FunOrb wiki goes, I’m not sure there is a “wiki community”. The recent changes page says there has been exactly one edit in the past 90 days, and it was made by an anonymous user. There has also been essentially no discussion in the #wiki channel of the FunOrb Discord server. The last real conversation occurred in July 2022, and it was about migrating the wiki elsewhere; Weird Gloop was explicitly mentioned.
I’m not sure to what extent it really makes sense to maintain a FunOrb wiki anymore seeing as FunOrb is dead and buried. But people have done a bunch of work to keep a lot of the games playable, so it’s not completely useless. I, personally, spent a bunch of time last year reverse-engineering and resurrecting Shattered Plans (one of the FunOrb games), and I’d love to be able to make a nice wiki page for it, but I have zero interest in contributing to a Fandom-hosted wiki. So I’d at least be in favor, but again, I’m not sure it’s really worth the time and effort; I suspect it would receive very little traffic and even fewer contributions. — lexi (talk) 22:02, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
